About The Gourmet Shop
The Gourmet Shop in Columbia, SC’s Five Points is our go-to destination when we want to share something authentically Columbia with friends. They have great outdoor seating on the wide sidewalks and an indoor cafe space if the weather isn’t cooperating.
Tables are first come first serve and you may have to wait during busy times. The good news is that the Gourmet Shop has an awesome marketplace full of fun kitchen and pantry finds that you can browse while waiting. You can find everything from fancy crackers for your charcuterie board to a french press and specialty ingredients.
The Gourmet Shop also has a deli area with various salads, cheeses and meats. We typically grab a container of their famous chicken salad and a baguette to go on our way out. They also have various salads/pasta available for purchase, like their tomato basil pasta and delicious pesto pasta.
As far as food goes, they serve both brunch and lunch daily. You can’t go wrong with their chicken salad on a croissant with their tomato basil pasta. Their seasonal green salad with chicken salad on top is also a great choice. It comes with an awesome dijon vinaigrette.
