Poogan’s Southern Kitchen

Poogan’s Southern Kitchen permanently closed in May 2024

Poogan’s Southern Kitchen is a breakfast and brunch spot located in Forest Acres’ Cardinal Crossing. They have an extensive brunch menu with brioche french toast, a veggie quiche, shrimp and grits and steak & eggs. You’ll also find lunch entrees on the brunch menu, like chicken fried pork chop and a cheeseburger.

Poogan’s has a separate dinner menu that includes mahi mahi, sweet-tea glazed salmon and even chicken and waffles.

If you are familiar with Poogan’s Porch in Charleston, you may be surprised by how different the Southern Kitchen spin-off is. It has more of a chain/diner vibe than the historic, charming feel of Poogan’s Porch.

Poogan’s is still relatively new to Columbia, having opened in the fall of 2022.
